After reading this morning's post a colleague at the office reminded me of the White Sox wearing shorts for a very brief period of time. I remember these and (half) joked that these lasted until someone had to slide. My colleague and I both agreed this must have been a Bill Veeck idea.Anyone have any other nominations for ugliest uniform ever?

That is so great!!! This is what happens when you are a MLB owner and let your wife make uniform decisions.
I am an old White Sox fan, and those Bermuda shorts were an acute pain to witness. I recall the cuts and bruises shown close up on t.v. after sliding, getting dinged by a foul ball, etc.
A far cry from the "go-go" White Sox of 1959.
