Interesting Nugget
Bernanke just said the cost of capital remains low. For those folks that like to dissect every word and think that every single part of his speeches have meaning, that could be a biggie.

Please explain the 'biggieness' of that quote as you see it. Tom in Indy
cost of capital being low implies, to me, the it would take a lot to trigger a rate cut. Some people thought there would be a cut this year, some think Q1 07 I have have thought longer out. The quote is a nod to longer out of course that could change at any point.
I agree with the "longer out" scenario. At least I hope that's the case - it implies soft landing or shallow recession.
