Maybe Its Nothing
The Iranian Oil Bourse is due to start on Monday. I found some firm opinions that say it will be delayed.
Here are some links with more info here and here.
I found it curious that it never came up on any of the Fox business shows, not even from Jim Rogers.
For now it is on the back burner. I felt it was important to try to create awareness. I am still uncertain if the IOB will have a big impact by itself. As I said in one of my posts I think it could be one of several different things that could make the dollar less important globally.
Whether that is right or wrong I would suggest staying in touch with this issue.

This is no longer on the agenda, or it would have been announced here:

What they are talking about is revealing:
"Nippon Oil Corp. Japan's largest refiner, will cut its imports of Iranian crude by 15 percent this year, the first hint Tehran's nuclear dispute with the West is affecting its vital oil trade."
Japan imports more Iranian oil than anyone else, and it appears to me Iran has decided they don't want the consequences of their nuclear ambitions, or of their oil bourse.
Norwegian oil bourse in Euros?
They keep talking about it but I can't find any updates or concrete action?
If it does happen then could not Iran simply sell its oil through Norway?
If so, it seems like a great business opportunity and so why could I not open a Euro Oil Bourse in the USA?
I keep thinking this may be the sleeper that will open the door for others.
I believe Anon has it right - the Iranian oil bourse will come to nothing this time around at least - later on we shall see; the world is clearly becoming discontented with the current state of capital flow.
