Just Who Is Reading This Site Anyway?
A couple of weeks ago I wrote that I got to meet John Rutledge in the green room of the Forbes On Fox show. About a week later I wrote a post expressing confusion over John having picked the same stock as me a week later on another Fox show. While I was surprised I was clear that maybe he had owned the stock longer than me. Turns out that's right, he's owned it longer than me.
I got a very nice email today from John telling me that he did not see the segment, as I suspected, and a little bit of his involvement with the name. It was a very nice thing for him to do, consistent with how he carried himself when I met him.
Lets face it, while I am pleased with the work I have done I am still a peanut in the field but it is nice to know that the bigger guys I have encountered are very decent people, like John. Ditto Barry Ritholtz and Jim Rogers.

Roger,
I am huge fan of Jim Rogers. I have read his three books--not only are they great investment reading, but they are also very enjoyable and entertaining. After reading his first two books where he describes his travels across the world, I almost feel as though I know him personally.
For those interested, you can view Jim Rogers site at: http://www.jimrogers.com/. He has his books listed prominently on his site.
Best regards,
Kevin
